The Lionakis Foundation hosted the YWCA of Silicon Valley for a Lunch and Learn to find out more about their mission to eliminate racism and empower women and how we can help. The YWCA provides a direct service to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and human trafficking, while also striving for change. After the powerful and informative luncheon presentation, the Lionakis Foundation presented YWCA with a donation which directly benefits their cause and annual fundraising event, Walk a Mile in Her Shoes.

Team Leggy Lads of Lionakis consisted of Aaron Buehring, Dennis Guerra, Jonathan McMurtry and Bob Baylor who walked in the lighthearted event to raise awareness about the serious issue of sexual assault and domestic violence. Throughout the month of June, the team raised over $3,500 dollars to support the cause, and on June 26, the pumped-up men strapped on their bright-colored and fun, (but rather painful) high heels to walk the mile. The event was a large success with hundreds of walkers, many community partners, organizations and companies coming together to participate in the walk or donate and give back to the cause. Thank you to team Leggy Lads for bravely representing Lionakis with pride and to all those who donated to show their support of the YWCA.
