Camp Coffee

Designed for a team of career baristas with a passion for the outdoors, this project was created to bring the experience of camping with friends to the beachside coffee shop. obrARCHITECTURE, A Lionakis Company was tasked with providing the coffee service layout, interior design, and a sidewalk café patio. The customer area is clad with one century-old reclaimed barn wood, and is flanked by a dramatic 20′ high mountainscape mural, transporting the customers to the great outdoors.
The black tile clad service area is interrupted by a series of vertical wood inlays, simulating a tree filled forest at night, while a constellation of pendants light the space from above. A low coffee bar and large community tables were used to create a unique coffee experience that allow for increased interaction between customers and baristas.
