Molecular Sciences Building Third Floor Lab Modernization

University of California, Los Angeles

Organic chemistry research demands precision at every scale — from the reactions happening at the bench to the environments that support the people running them. The renovation of Professor Abigail Doyle's laboratory on the third floor of UCLA's Molecular Sciences Building translates that precision into 4,800 square feet of purpose-built research space.

The program balances the social and the scientific: the main laboratory anchors it all, while a seminar room with flexible furniture supports collaboration and discussion, and a student office area with dedicated desks and storage gives researchers a place to think alongside a place to work. A new kitchen and vestibule area rounds out the program.
