Price Center West and Dirty Birds

University of California, San Diego

The Price Center is the heartbeat of UC San Diego's campus, a gathering place that sees thousands of visitors daily, and housing everything from restaurants and retail to student resource centers and meeting rooms. Designed to enhance the University's mission to support UCSD with quality facilities, services, and programs to enrich the campus experience, the renovation reimagined the dining space anchored by Dirty Birds, bringing a fresh aesthetic to one of campus's most trafficked destinations. New gender-inclusive restrooms, a new dining area, public seating, and hardscape extend the gathering space beyond the building's walls; single swing hydraulic doors connect the interior with the outdoors, while fire pits promote gathering, socialization, and connection.
