Tappers at Loma Club – Liberty Station

Laura Johnson, Luke Mahoney & NTC Foundation

The Sail Ho Golf Course has been part of San Diego's Point Loma neighborhood since 1914. obrARCHITECTURE, A Lionakis Company, worked with partners Laura Johnson, Luke Mahoney, and the NTC Foundation to deliver a two-phase renovation and addition to the historic clubhouse, along with an 18-hole miniature golf course extension called Tappers at the Loma Club. The 3,200-square-foot clubhouse received its first major renovation since it was built in 1914, requiring a careful balance of historic preservation and contemporary update. The result is a new upscale cocktail bar addition and a family-friendly aesthetic that winks at classic golf films like Caddyshack and Happy Gilmore
