The Lionakis Foundation was established in 2009 as a charitable organization dedicated to impacting positive change and improving the quality of Education, Health Awareness, and Urban Environments. It exists to promote, through philanthropic giving and volunteerism, a better future for the communities in which we live and work.

The goal of the Foundation is to provide a voice for our employees in our corporate giving, promote volunteerism and personal giving through our matching funds program, and to build a better community through our collective efforts.

Together we will commit the resources – our money, our time and our passion – to organizations that improve the health, education and sustainability of the regions we serve. We will encourage each individual to “give back” with matching incentives and will partner with local organizations to expand our philanthropic reach. Between now and 2027, we will build an endowment of one million dollars, our legacy, that will ensure the future of the Lionakis Foundation.

Matching Grant Program:
The foundation offers (2) matching Grant opportunities to Lionakis staff – Volunteer Matching Grant and the Dollar Matching Grant. Each program will match contributions of time and money made by employees to eligible nonprofit organizations. Staff can take advantage of both the Volunteer and Dollar Matching Grants each year.

Employee Driven Giving Program:
Each year, the Foundation has a large scale giving program, driven by feedback received by our employees. Since our inception, in 2009, the Foundation has given more than $20,000 per year during our year-end employee driven giving program. Each year, employee feedback helps determine the Employee Driven Giving Program and its Recipients.

Throughout the year the Lionakis Foundation schedules fund raising and community service events to help benefit a variety of local charitable organizations.

Lionakis hosts the annual George Lionakis Memorial Golf Tournament which raises funds for the Lionakis Foundation Endowment. Learn more about the tournament here.
