Our Education team held a DesignBAR event featuring one of their elementary school projects last week. Harder Elementary School is a new K-6 campus in Hayward, serving 700 students. Our SD Package was completed last June. After being on the shelf for a while, our team kicked off DDs with a collaborative and integrated DesignBAR with the Education studio as well as our Structural and Interiors team members. There were great ideas shared on giving the campus its own identity with materials/building forms, addressing the site not having a ‘backside’ and creating an engaging entry. *Side note: You’ll notice they were celebrating Sacramento Beer Week at the event!
