Lionakis hosted a Lunch and Learn event on July 19th to learn more about two local organizations that were nominated by Lionakis employees. The organizations, The Ark of San Juan Animal Rescue and Reclaim Foundation, came to Lionakis’ Irvine and Sacramento offices respectively to talk about their work and volunteer opportunities.

The Ark of San Juan is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2007 to save pets and animals in the San Juan Capistrano community. The Ark takes in strays, owner relinquishes, and pulls from the local county shelter to provide medical care, food, and love for cats and dogs until they find a forever home.

Reclaim Foundation was founded in 2020 to provide a sense of community and support to trauma survivors. The foundation was created due to a lack of resources for trauma survivors, and it ensures that friends and family of survivors can also receive guidance. Some of their support services include resources, events, the Reclaim Network, scholarships, therapy assistance, and assistance with some other trauma-related costs.

At the end of the lunch, each organization was presented with a donation from the Lionakis Foundation. These Lunch and Learn events give Lionakis employees a chance to give back to the community, as well as build important connections with foundations that are making transformative changes throughout California.

We cannot wait for our next Lunch and Learn in September!
