Lionakis is proud to announce that it has been named a winner of the International Interior Design Association’s 6th annual IIDA Healthcare Interior Design Competition! This competition honors and celebrates outstanding originality and excellence in the design and furnishings of healthcare interior spaces. Lionakis was recognized in the category of “Ambulatory, Special Clinic” for Kaiser Roseville Behavorial Health Center.

“With research illustrating the link between design and positive patient outcomes, designers are making a tremendous impact on the healthcare industry,” said IIDA Executive Vice President and CEO Cheryl S. Durst, Hon. FIIDA, LEED AP. “This year’s winners of the Healthcare Interior Design Competition reflect the ever-evolving and healing nature of healthcare design.”

The jury panel reviewing this year’s competition included Carol Doering, IIDA, AAHID, CID, LEED AP, healthcare lead, IA Interior Architects; Lisa Herriott, IIDA, LEED AP ID+C, interior designer, project manager, UW Medicine | Harborview Medical Center; and Tiana Lemons, IIDA, NCIDQ, EDAC, healthcare studio leader, orcutt | winslow.

Lionakis, along with all winning projects, will be published in an issue of Healthcare Design magazine, featured on the IIDA website, and promoted on IIDA social media networks to more than 300,000 followers. Congratulations to the entire team who worked on this award winning project.
