The recently completed pharmacy remodel on the second floor at the City of Hope’s Helford Building encompasses a total transformation of the existing pharmacy to comply with USP 800 requirements for hazardous drug (HD) compounding. Included within the remodel is the addition of a dedicated room for HD compounding hoods and a dedicated HD storage room. An adjacent office and conference room are used for the temporary storage of non-HD drugs and supplies during construction. The remodel also includes the addition of two exhaust fans on the roof of the sixth floor.
