Natomas Unified School District’s Paso Verde K-8 School recently relocated from its temporary facility to a brand new campus. The campus is comprised of six new buildings including four classroom wings, an administration/kindergarten/library, and a multi-purpose/gymnasium to support the school’s robust Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Mathematics (STEAM) program. Each wing of four classrooms has been designed to have flexible, collaboration support spaces. These NextGEN breakout spaces provide opportunities for hands-on learning while maintaining classroom connections and offering students choices for how they want to connect through the use of a variety of mobile seating, flexible furnishings, and whiteboards. Outdoor spaces also include opportunities for additional hands-on learning.
