Franklin High School Transformation

Franklin High School’s transformation is one of incremental change. Previously home to windowless, open plan classroom buildings and aging portables, the school’s new classroom buildings are true high performance learning environments. The CHPS verified buildings provide the campus with technology rich learning environments, administrative facilities and a wireless student cyber-lounge accessible to the greater community for internet access and parent education classes. Land previously occupied by aging portable classrooms has been reclaimed to provide students with an outdoor amphitheater and outdoor dining spaces creating a sense of place for Franklin High School. Future phases include a Career Technical Education program for Production Theater, a new food court to support the District’s Farm to School program, and a significant athletic complex.
