The Lundquist Institute, Hanley-Hardison Research Center

We provided programming and laboratory/clinic planning through construction phase services for this 15,000 square foot, two-story, state-of-the-art research center. The facility functions as the center for investigators to conduct biomedical research and train young scientists. In addition to providing more modern facilities, the new Research Center brings 14 researchers together in one centralized place near Torrance, CA. The center also provides community services including childhood immunizations, anti-violence programs and various disease education initiatives. The researchers in the facility specialize in medicine, psychiatry, neurology and obstetrics/gynecology. The building also houses 17 lab benches, two chemical laboratories, a cold laboratory, a darkroom and an autoclave for sterilizing equipment. The project also included bench research areas, tissue culture rooms, equipment storage, a lounge, conference areas, administrative offices and common areas.
