Lionakis is currently seeking architecture and engineering students to participate in our 2022 EP (Emerging Professionals) Summer Internship Program. Student Interns will become part of our Sacramento and Newport Beach offices within our Architecture, Structural Engineering and Interiors studios for the summer. Applicants must be current students working towards an accredited degree in a related field (as listed below) to be considered.

Architecture Intern – Newport Beach, CA

As the Student Intern, you will…

  1. Be under direction of project team leader, use Revit, Photoshop, and/or InDesign in the production of project deliverables.
  2. Support project team leader in the research and review of products and materials.
  3. Experience multidisciplinary educational sessions and opportunities through the emerging professionals program.

Student Intern Qualifications – The Must-Haves (Required)
Must be a current student working towards an accredited degree in Architecture with a minimum of three (3) years of college/university coursework completed.

Structural Engineering Intern – Newport Beach, CA

As the Student Intern, you will…

  1. Provide engineering support for projects with calculations, spreadsheets, and computer analysis using basic knowledge of construction materials.
  2. Provide CAD support utilizing CAD/BIM software to assist with creating construction documents.
  3. Support coordination of project design and construction process.
  4. Provide administrative support to the studio.

Student Intern Qualifications – The Must-Haves (Required)
Must be a current student pursuing an ABET-accredited degree in either civil, architectural, structural engineering or related field with a minimum of:

  1. Three (3) years of college/university coursework completed
  2. 3.0 G.P.A.
  3. Completion of engineering statics and mechanics courses

  1. Maintain studio organization of binders, flat files, library, and as-builts as directed.
  2. Support coordination of records management for retrievable project documents.
  3. Transfer redlines and comments on submittals as directed.
  4. May be responsible for basic drafting and renderings, crafting models, and making color boards.
  5. Experience multidisciplinary educational sessions and opportunities through the emerging professionals program.

Student Intern Qualifications – The Must-Haves (Required)

  1. Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture.
  2. Student Intern Qualifications – The Like-to-Haves (Not Required)
  3. Basic knowledge of MS office programs (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  4. Basic experience with Revit and SketchUp
